NOT #8
Would Not RecommendAbsolutely do not trust the sizes Hillman uses on their product labels.. These are sold as being #8 wood screws. Per ANSI Standard B18.6.1, a #8 wood screw has a shank diameter of 0.164 inch. These screws have an actual diameter of 0.128 inch, which makes them actually #5 sized screws. I'll avoid the obvious pun.
