Would RecommendThis is my second one of these which I used to replace several 45cc gas engine chainsaws of various types. Love it. Safely climb ladders and the trees without trying to figure how to start it at the top or carry a live saw. Cuts as well as anything i have ever had.

initial but well, but very limited time
may 18, 2026 purchased an 18" 80 V, 4.0 AH battery greenworks chainsaw, directions didnt tell me how to attach bar/chain, you tube did. altogether, took 10 minutes, fully charged batter night before. cut a small limb , cut like butter, the next day had 2 larger limbs( i kept after tree company cut down large tree ) for firewood. went through one limb, no problem , addressed the second limb, battery out of power. therefore i would give this product one star, i recommend staying w...

This was a great saw however green works stop making the low profile sawblades for it. So I ended up having to buy another one one of the newer versions.

My first battery powered saw purchase

Overheats. Terrible customer "service"
Would Not RecommendThis saw is fine if you are dealing with smaller live trees or dead ones, BUT, if you need to clear out mature trees, look elsewhere. When cutting, say, a 16" live tree, the saw will overheat even before you get through the face-cut. It is then useless for at least 6 hours. The result? It literally can take you 4-5 days to fell one tree. What's way worse is Greenworks customer "service." Their phone line is manned by staff strictly geared towards warranty claims.
