After a CAT 5 Super Typhoon (Hurricane)

Super Typhoon Bavi CAT5 (Hurrucaine) came thru our island. I don’t anticipate having power anytime soon and the winds are quite strong with bad weather. As we are in a Super El Niño year we anticipate more storms. Hope this tent cover can hold up with our island heat and weather. We shall see. So far so good.

Seemed gimmicky at first

Bought about a year and a half ago, thinking I was a bit gimmicky but would give it a try anyway. Haven’t actually had to use it yet. The one time during this past winter in Ohio that I thought I would need it, it worked as advertised. Rain snow slid right off instead of sticking and piling up. The only problem is that two of the plastic mounting clamps snapped after being exposed to sun freezing temps for 8+ hours. After contacting support and being told it was my fault, they did even...

Great product for protecting generator

Suprisingly easy to assemble and great fit. Easy access for filling and the controll panel. Quality components as well.

Great Fit And Protection

We now have all three of our portable generators covered. I have used GenTents for over four years and the new, universal clamp kit is a game changer. They grip in all kinds of weather and are easy to adjust, if needed.

Gen Tent II

My first Gen Tent was a great addition to my 5,000-watt portable. Just purchased a second Gen Tent for my second portable and the new Universal Clamp Kit made it a breeze to install. They allow for some angling adjustments to be made, which is a great feature.

Gentent easy to assemble and disassemble. It provides excellent coverage. The storage bag is worth purchasing.

Peace of Mind

Giving it 4 stars just because I haven't seen it in action during storms.Just set it up a couple of days ago. All the needed parts & info is readily available to assist with set up info. Speaking of assistance another set of hands, just to get the corners & strap that holds them inplace was helpful.

Purchase with confidence

Ordered this tent for my Westinghouse 11500 open frame generator and it fit perfectly. Assembly is quick, easy and appears to be quite sturdy. I have not tested this in high winds yet but I have no doubt it will perform very well. I just leave the attach points on the generator at all times and take off only the tent during non rainy operations of the generator which takes me less than one minute.

Just What I Needed

Just received this ahead of hurricane season. I installed it on my generator today. I watched the video on "how to", first. The video was excellent. The installation was quick, easy, and truly tool free. I no longer have to be concerned if the rain has stopped, or restarted before power is restored. I can safely run my generator, and power my whole house, and be comfortable, while waiting for utility power to be restored. The quality of all the materials seems to be of high integrity.
