electric starter and pull start combo, ease of use

before I purchased your product, I did my homework. it filled my needs of an inverter. not to much but just what I need for my purpose. it exceeded my expectations. the dual fuel, and the whispering sound!! awesome product

Pretty good but seems to need high octane fuel

Initially I was extremely pleased with the GP2500i portable inverter generator during my first 5 day outage in June 2026. It was relatively easy to start and I used it to recharge my lithium power supplies which were supporting my essentials (fridge, sump pump, a few lights). Then in August we had an 11 day outage due to a derecho resulting in a multiple county widespread damage and power loss. Couple Issues

I bought it in May 2026, i have had a couple of issues. The electronic start button stopped working. When I use the propane system it shuts down are a while for no reason.

CO sensor works great

Purchased the iQ5200 several months ago. Nice quiet generator, just remember to point the exhaust away from the walls or the CO sensor will shut it down I finally figured that out ever since it’s running like a CHAMP.

Barely Adequate Generator

Many problems. First generator I got from the store was horrible. Nearly impossible to start, died 10 minutes after starting it, then when I tried to restart it the starter cord broke on the first pull. Returned that one and got a second one. It runs but lags heavily on the voltage increase and doesn’t manage to get up to its minimum rated voltage. Forget the peak voltage, it cannot peak at the minimum. Disappointed

I thought the peak power would allow my generator to start my AC unit but it did not.

Used it once so far, it did great!

I got my iq5200df a couple of months ago and have used it once when we had a 16 hour power outage. I ran it on propane and it performed beautifully It allowed me to run 2 refrigerators and a freezer simultaneously and still watch tv. I'd unplug a refrigerator and then plug in the microwave or coffee maker, toaster or whatever so I had all I needed to have running when I needed it. Super quiet!

Easy start, very quiet. Runs my camper AC with soft start. Very happy with this purchase.

I'm still glad I got a Generac generator

I like Generac generators they are nice and quiet more or less some of the quietest on the market and then I got one of the 5200s and it is very quiet for its size but then it started having issues I had to take it to the shop a couple of times but Generac came through they actually gave me a new one was not expecting that but I'm glad they did so I still like Generac if you want to quiet generator that's not embarrassing to run then you need to get a Generac

Quality unit

I bought this unit around a month ago. I’m familiar with it as I work at a retail store and I’ve sold these to customers in the past. It’s a really nice unit. Dual fuel, wisper quiet, electric start and plenty of power for my needs. Very pleased.

Outlet breaker trips.

I used the generator during a power outage. It ran fine on propane - the only problem I had was that refrigerator kept tripping the breaker on the outlet. Is there a solution for this?

Works great after some engineering.

Been using my generator for about a month now. I use it to power a 5000 BTU camping air conditioner. The only issue I have is that there is no way to turn eco mode off and when the compressor starts it goes into safe mode and shuts down because the automatic eco shutoff doesn’t give enough power fast enough. I added a small fan that pulls about 95 watts to increase the idle slightly and now it works great. Also I wish the fuel tank was at least 2 gallons.

Ready for the Hurricane Season

I am a very senior citizen and have limited strength. I purchased this electric start so I could easily start the generator when needed. Haven't needed it yet but it starts each time I test it. I had a manual start Generac for years that worked always when needed. Very good product.

Super Quite

Purchased for emergency outaage. It Was easy to set up and start, good to go. I was very happy to that it is very quite.

Parts diagram unavailable

I was disappointed that I cannot find a parts diagram available for download or purchase anywhere online. The product is good, but owner support seems lacking in this respect.

Disappointing purchase

Purchased a Generac inverter generator on 4/26/2026. Would not operate from the first try. The generator would not run for more then one minute at a time then stall. It has been at the repair shop since.
