Works great after some engineering.

Been using my generator for about a month now. I use it to power a 5000 BTU camping air conditioner. The only issue I have is that there is no way to turn eco mode off and when the compressor starts it goes into safe mode and shuts down because the automatic eco shutoff doesn’t give enough power fast enough. I added a small fan that pulls about 95 watts to increase the idle slightly and now it works great. Also I wish the fuel tank was at least 2 gallons.

Ready for the Hurricane Season

I am a very senior citizen and have limited strength. I purchased this electric start so I could easily start the generator when needed. Haven't needed it yet but it starts each time I test it. I had a manual start Generac for years that worked always when needed. Very good product.

Generator does just what it said it would do. It’s quiet and easy to start. Purchased so we could run our air conditioning when dry camping. Works great and only requires less than half the available wattage

Dead Battery on an Island

Parts diagram unavailable

I was disappointed that I cannot find a parts diagram available for download or purchase anywhere online. The product is good, but owner support seems lacking in this respect.

Disappointing purchase

Purchased a Generac inverter generator on 4/26/2026. Would not operate from the first try. The generator would not run for more then one minute at a time then stall. It has been at the repair shop since.

Be careful of reviews, mine was DOA!

Look close the reviews are for ALL Generac generators, The 3800 and the iQ-5200 are the newest ones. We purchased this iQ-5200 model and would not run on propane(did not try gasoline). Support said to take it to a local shop for repair. Shop wants me to pay up front for 1 hr labor, said I would get re-umbursed when Generac pays them. Build quality looks really nice, shame it doesn't run. Returning it... Wish I had a truck

Great Features on the iQ3800 Dual Fuel generator

I am very pleased with the iQ3800 Dual Fuel Generator because of all the features it includes. It provides great value as a standby for living in an apartment in an area which is subject to get periodic ice storms and resulting power outages.

Power Outage - Generac 3300i

Within a month of purchase, we had a 30 hour power outage. I ran extension chords through the garage and into the house, and we powered a small space heater and some LED lights. We were very glad to have this generator to support us during this difficult time.

Good generator

Good machine. Not too hard to start , only negative is filling with oil it is hard not to get the oil inside the machine. Glad I purchased it.

Beyond disappointing

I bought this a couple months ago. It never worked. The Fleet Farm I purchased it from would not take this product back. The generator is still at a small machine engine shop. I will never buy your products again.

Bad service

Did not run right. Received as a gift. Repair shops only work on ones they sell. Ordered a new carburetor installed it my self.

Absolute junk!

Bought a new portable generator and it does not run once I put any kind of load on the unit. And there is no service repair shop anywhere close to my home.

After many years I had a slight problem. I contacted Generac by email and explained my situation and received a response with useful info and the schematics I requested. Problem solved, Thanks

Great Features, Nice Package, Nice Price!

Got a decent deal on this product, was looking for a nice inverter generator to serve as a backup option for our small business. My only gripes on this is that you have to take off the side panel to service the oil (would rather there be a way to check and fill oil without a screwdriver) and that the Off/Run/Choke knob was easier to turn and gave some sort of haptics or snap to indicate that you are on proper setting (Run vs. Choke).
