decent fridge

decent fridge but we didnt find out a door bin was missing until hours after delivery. Since the order was done online, we are having difficulty in getting someone to respond. Freezer compartment, top bin was not in the kit. I sent part numbers in my initial plea for a replacement......

Do not buy!

I haven’t even had it a year and it is pretty much shot. Supposedly one part can fix it, but it has been a month and I have a glorified cooler that constantly loses temp and ruins my food. Not even sure that I will get ice once the part is fixed. Not sure if or when GE will replace the part, so do not feel confident at all about the warranty. I definitely wouldn’t buy an extended if this is how the year warranty goes.

Terrible freezer

Only had frig for 3 years and the freezer went up. It will constantly go up to 15 degrees for a day then go back to set temp. Weve had appliance guy out twice and spent 400 and still doing same.

Meh

Took 24 hours to get it cold to put our food in it. Luckily we hadn't let out old refrigerator go yet and we hooked it up in the garage. If you are buying this have somewhere where you can put your food in the meantime. We had delivery but he refused to being it inside so we had to use our Dolly and its cheap material on the sides it made dents on the side where the Dolly was placed.

My frustration with this product is beyond words. When we bought our new home four years ago, we purchased this appliance brand new. GE side x side

I purchased this last month, I was surprised how small the freezer is, the fridge side is larger but I would like the room in the freezer🤷‍♀️. And the fingerprints just jump out at you. I like the fridge, the freezer size just is a bit small.

Smokes

Noise comes out the freezer as well as a smoke. The back vent in freezer stays hot.

Look at another brand

Have had issues with the ice maker since day one. Keeps overflowing and dumps ice throughout the freezer. Now at exactly one year old it is stuck on crushed ice and the motor won’t change to cubed. In addition it is so loud. Not great if it’s in a great room.

The fridge is cooling wonderfullly and very quiet. Love everything about it.

Great appliance!

I am very happy with my new refrigerator. I had a different brand before but now all my appliances in the kitchen are GE. I LOVE IT because more compartments and spacious! You can also leave the cup in the water dispenser while you fill it up. My old doesn't have this feature. Also, I like the light when you open the door its bright!

Patience

If you had a refridgerator for 15-20 years and buy a new one be ready for new technology. Your new machine will run more than you're old and is supose to be more energy effiecent. There's a low voltage circulation fan that runs a lot that will get on your nerves until it settles in and cycles, it's a shame I couldn't get any information from any one to explain this to me including GE, sales people and local repair shops that would even have conversation without $90-150 just to come over and pl...
