Fast boil

I was a little nervous about moving to this from an old school electric coil cooktop, but I've been impressed so far. I've only used it for a few things over the past couple days, so I can't attest to its longevity. However, I'll share what I have experienced so far. Only certain types of pots work on an induction cooktop, so check before you buy (or be prepared to buy a new set). I love it when it works…

At times, It flashes random error codes and refuses to work. Frigidaire has no NO WAY TO LOOK UP ERROR CODES!! Induction Cooktop - 30"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our first induction cooktop, but not our first Frigidaire Gallery cooktop. The first lasted 19+ years and still worked great; we just wanted to switch to induction. The cooktop is really easy to use, the learning curve is fast, because the cooktop is so easy to use. There's a slight buzz when a burner is on PowerBurst, but you don't have PowerBurst on for very long, so it's not an issue.

Induction is great for quick heating and cooking.

We had an induction cooktop previously but it was hard to see where the burners were on the black surface. This cooktop has white marks to make the cooking surface more visible. We are also anxious to try the bridge for a griddle.

Absolute Heat Control

The oil was hot enough in a few seconds to add onions. The heat control is also instant. Boiling water for iced tea takes about a minute (maybe a few seconds longer- but fast). Do not buy

At first we thought it was just us getting used to this but it absolutely is horrible. As of yesterday it is not working. We are trying to trouble shoot. We hope to return as it doesn't seem like this will every be functional.

My new cooktop

Also it is staying clean, because it isn't boiling over everytime I do pasta or rice. I do struggle with the controls a little, but I think I will eventually work that out.
