Would Not RecommendBought 3 of these after moving into our home that had expired alarms. In 6 months, all 3 have false alerted on separate occasions, all in the middle of the night. 2 of them would not stop no matter what we did, so they've had to be deactivated. Money down the drain and too much sleep lost on these

Would Not RecommendBought two of these. One in December 2025 and one in July 2026. Both went off with false alarms in August 2026. No way to silence them without disabling and rendering them useless. First Alert refused to give a refund or replacement. RUN AWAY from these.

Convenient battery life
I'm glad that new smoke detectors have a built in battery to last 10 years in service. It's very convenient not to have to get a step ladder out to change the battery!
Not working for me
Would Not RecommendI have a 2500 sq ft home with 8 smoke alarms. Bought these 1 year ago hoping to not deal with them for 10 years. I have been fighting with all 8 of them for false alarms due to humidity and other air particles. Now I'm on the search for replacement detectors and $175 in the hole. I can not recommend these smoke alarms.
