Backup battery is included
Would RecommendIt comes with the backup battery. It was hard to understand that but I love it. When you're replacing a ten year old unit that you had to buy and replace the backup battery, you'd think the labeling would be clearer. Also unit is smaller than original so touch up paint needed.

Would RecommendFYI... Although this unit is a direct replacement for my old unit per the FirstAlert website, it requires re-wiring a different plug (included with new unit), and dhanging the unit mount as well.
