Powerload feature not reliable
Purchased a couple of years ago and the power load feature has been problematic from the start. After 2 years it is not working at all. I do like the Ego line and have several of their products. This one should be avoided.

Stopped working
Would Not RecommendThe head on my weedeater stopped turning, and it never really wound the line correctly. I took it to be worked on and it was found defective. Still waiting on my new one to be sent to me. Then I can give a better review.

Better than......
Still getting used to my new 15" Ego string trimmer. It's certainly an upgrade from my older, gas powered trimmer. Much lighter, much easier to reload the string and the battery charge is great (I have 3 Ego tools using the same battery). But not as easy to "trim" vertically as my previous tools. Maybe I just need to use it more. The angle of the trimmer head makes it a bit awkward to cut a clean line vertically.
