Anti-Kickback not so great. Drilling is easy.

The Earth Auger was purchased to dig about 400 post holes in sand using the 8" auger. The kick-back feature was very important to me. Most of the property it has worked great. But the second it hits a tree root or small rock it engages swiftly the kickback and it hurts. The anti-kickback feature doesn't catch in time to prevent wrist injury. I've had to modify a set of heavy wheels from a different brand to balance the auger and prevent the painful kickback. I wish this company would include its...

Easy to assemble and operate

Was very easy to assemble with clear instructions and only a few steps. Unless I hit a root or rock it went through fairly hard soil with ease. I did have to do some hand digging to clear the roots and rocks. Although heavier than some I looked at, it was not had to handle for a 69 year old man. I wished it had a built in level to make it easier to auger straight into the ground. Saved many hours vs a hand auger.

It’s very quiet and makes quick work on digging multiple holes.

I have not really used it

Only tested it on 3 holes. Put it together and asked my wife where she wanted some holes to plant the trees she wanted to plant. Within 5 minutes later, she had her 3 holes. Anytime I have a hole to dig, this tool will definitely be used, very pleased with it.

Must Have if You Dig A lot

Fantastic Tool - saves so much time vs digging. If you dig a lot, it's worth every penny - I can dig a hole through hard clay soil in less than a minute in most cases where it took me up to 30 minutes with a spade, pick, and water.

Very Efficient!

Very efficient! And astonishingly quiet. Our first use was to dig a hole for a tree we were planting. It did the job so easily. Also it gives a little warning noise before it begins to dig. Went right through the soil, pulling it up like fresh snow. It even broke up some of the rock beneath the soil. Both my husband and I highly recommend it. Thank you!

Great diy auger

Easy to assemble and operate. Purchased for a diy fence install and I’m thrilled with the results. It chewed right through my red VA clay. I’m a female in my 40s and this thing just made lots of projects a possibility. It does require some muscle to lift out of the holes after they are dug but that’s to be expected when you’re going down over 2 feet.

Can’t dig through Florida marl

This auger was completely worthless for digging in the coral marl we have in the Keys. Would either spin on top of it or shut down as soon as it grabbed a piece. Had to go back to using a digging bar. Waste of $500
