Order Pick -Up

Ordered an EGO Chain Saw. At pick up the box was pretty beat up but the desk personnel said all was good. Kind of embarrassing to give a gift in that condition. A lot of clear tape used to keep it together. Opened it on Father's day and found that some of the internal packaging may be missing. Instructions, warranty etc. all missing. Will be returning today. 😒

Takes a licking and keeps on ticking

True story, my wife is coming up the driveway and ran over the saw trying not to hit my "limousine" aka zero-turn. Outside of a crack in the housing the saw works great. Got it in the fall of 25 to replace the blue battery saw that quit working after about 3 years. Plenty of power and battery run time for me. At 70, when the battery runs out it's time to sit down and rest while it charges.

Variable speed trigger takes some getting used to

Used the saw today to take down some trees in the 6" to 8" diameter range. Had great power for cutting trees down and cutting them all up into "firewood" length. Every bit as I would expect from a gas saw, but without the noise or the hard start. Not a fan of the variable speed trigger--I'm either cutting or I'm not, so the variable speed adds nothing to the saw's usefulness. All in all, it is a pretty good value.

Chainsaw worked great at first. Motor overheats and emits smoke with the oil reservoir full. And, one of the batteries won't take or hold a charge. Plus, the plastic sawblade cover wasn't included at purchase.

Love the fact that it does not smoke like 2 cycle saws. Powerful, plenty of power for around home use. 18" bar will handle most anything. Construction seems good. It's ready to work whenever I'm ready to use it. And I got a super deal there before Christmas.

Not as good as I had hoped it would be

First, my experience with Lowe's was great. The chainsaw was delivered very quickly and the return process was easy. I really, really wanted to like this chainsaw. I read reviews all over the place and everyone seemed to be saying it was a great saw. It's very quiet and cuts well. I bought a pair of upgraded Oregon chains (the one it comes with is not great) and used new bar oil. I have not used this yet. However I does have a very good feel to it.

Good Value Chainsaw

This is a well balanced tool with a very easy, simple chain tension and to replace the chain or bar. It also has an LED light with two brightness settings. I haven't used it yet, so I can't say how well it lights up the area cutting. This is especially good for someone who isn't using a chainsaw monthly. You don't have to worry about the gas going bad.

Easy use and Maintenance

Easy use and maintenance. Battery lasts for longer than expected. Worked with it for two afternoons and still have power. Cuts well and tension adjustment works great. Using it to cut small trees to maintain a large acreage to improve the wildlife habitat.

Good product

Love the product, hate the games Lowes play. It was on sale $150 off, but the option to pick it up was not aloud. I had to pay $79 to have it shipped to the store and have them deliver it to me.

Real freedom from sketchy gas engine performance

Mainly that I don't have to continuously fight with an IC engine- stalling, restarts, fuel mixing, noise, and clouds of exhaust
