Not what I paid for!

I took delivery of this machine on Sept. 12, 2026. Found the instruction manual very poorly written. More importantly, Lowes does not tell you that their 90 day return policy does not apply to this machine. Their policy on this machine is 2 days. If you find anything wrong with it on the third day you own it (like I did)lowes wants you to work directly with the manufacturer and they are overwhelmed with return and problems so their customer service takes forever to return you calls. Lowes delivered a faulty generator

I bought a $2118 Duromax xp11000ih generator from Lowes. It took 2 days to buy the propane tank, buy the propane, buy the recommended break-in oil and break-in the machine. It was immediately discovered that none of the gouges on the generator worked. I called Lowes and they instructed me to contact Duromax. I contacted Duromax and they sent a replacement circuit board and display screen. They told me replace it myself as they did not have a service center close to me. I did replace it myself i...

I would not purchase this machine. Duromax will not refund your money when the machine is faulty right out of the box!! I purchased this machine brand new. I did everything the manual said. Added oil by the book, new gas etc. On the gas option the machine would not crank! I then added the propane and it worked fine. Duromax asked me to ship the machine back and they would give me a refund. When they got the machine they fixed it then will not give me a refund!!

Very happy with purchase

Beautiful machine, the only issue I have is the oil fill location. I don't have Japanese hands or fingers so filling the machine is quite the task for me. Everything else is top notch....

Confusing to set up

The bond and inbond process is very poorly explained. There needs to be a switch without taking the entire cover off. I am worried about this generator because now that we have it it’s Seems there are lots of issues with the sensors and such and that they seem to fail very quickly after the one year. I’m not sure it was worth the money.

Initial Setup and Startup

Easy for both. Impressed with how solid the unit is and how quiet it is vs my old Generac 8000w version. Hoping it performs as well as it appears to be solid.

Fantastic and quiet!! POWERFUL!!

I ran this generator for a week to power my 32’ camper running AC. I was amazed at the efficiency and power of this machine!! Ran Rec 90 gas the entire time, my preference. This machine barely went over and idle. This is my 2nd DuroMax generator, will recommend and purchase another if ever needed.

Dual Fuel / Amazing reliability / Very silent

I bought this one about 18 months ago. Perfect size for my needs

Glad I got this generator. Perfect size for my needs to backup my home when grid power fails. Combined with my electric power stations it gives me all the coverage I need. Great features. Such peace of mind is very comforting.

Aleays enough power

I purchased the Duramax 11,000 Inverter generator to provide power for my floor grinder 220 V for business and it always had enough power to do exactly what I requested of it. Very impressed with the sound or lack there of.

Perfect for us!

I live in Florida in an area with alot of construction. So we have not only hurricanes and storms, but accidents and other power outages. Mines set up for whole house and with the soft start AC I can run everything, including my water well. I work for emergency services so in a disaster I'm away for days and I trust my family with this unit. Highly recommend.

Ten Years with DuroMax Led Me to Big Red

I've been a DuroMax customer for over 10 years and previously owned an XP4400EH, which proved to be an extremely reliable generator throughout its life. That positive experience is the primary reason I chose the XP11000iH ("Big Red") over other brands when it came time to upgrade. So far, I'm very impressed with the build quality, features, and performance. The generator has operated smoothly, starts easily, and gives me confidence that it can handle my home's backup power needs during outages....

Opened box 2 days ago and added oil for initial run. The oil inlet cap is 100% blocked by a bundle of wires. Was a battle to get right amount of oil in. Not looking forward to next oil change. Why build a great generator and ruin it by a needless oil access design?

Ready for the storms

Needed this in Florida would rather have it now than waiting til a hurricane hits

Poor oil system fill design

Access up the oil plug is a booger. Difficult to remove the fill plug due to the wire harness placement. Otherwise generator is ok.

Poor design

Whoever designed the oil plug location is most likely someone that does not use this generator. Generator works great but that oil plug location is murder. You almost literally have to lay on your belly to remove the plug and move the wire harness out of the way and then trying to observe the fill line is near impossible. What a joke. Grrrrr.

Nice Generator

I purchased this because I needed a bigger generator and this fit what power was needed. I haven't had it long but have some initial impressions. It's way nicer than my old generator. I was expecting some assembly and there was none. Just connected the battery and added oil. It started up and ran like a champ. Easy to move for storage. It even looks good.
