Would Not RecommendI wasn't entirely impressed with the durability of the drill bit based on the cost. I needed to drill severall holes in a 5/16" steel beam flange. The drill bit took longer than expected to complete the two holes. A third hole was needed but the drill bit was pretty dull by the completion of the second hole.

Would RecommendI had to drill additional screw holes through a 16 gauge stainless steel shelf. Doing research, it dictated I needed a cobalt drill bit due to the harder material. Since I didn't want to mess it up, I bought the 1/4" size for the screw rather than trying one of my regular ones. I did not have any cutting oil so I used motor oil to keep the bit from over heating and used a slower speed with firm pressure.
