This revised bracket is terrible. Bring back the original bracket. I bought a send miter saw stand and bracket as I operate two saws at same time on jobsite. This bracket has been problematic since day one. I should have returned. Find the old style if possible. The lock release works fine on one mount; I have to take the saw mounting bolts off in order to remove the bracket from the saw. DeWalt engineers don’t try to improve a great item to only screw it up with your “improvements”.

Great stand with defective saw latch

DWX723 miter stand is a great product except for the plastic saw latches. Relatively light weight, very sturdy, easy to move and set up. Saw latch leaf spring broke rendering the stand unstable and dangerous. Very disappointing for a Dewalt product. No upgraded latch appears to be available…

Release lever is easy to break.

Purchasing this to replace the original bracket that came with my dewalt stand. Original bracket broke first time I squeezed the lever. Dewalt needs to improve the design.

They lasted very briefly.

As someone who uses a miter saw almost every day these were sub par. They broke within a couple uses. I love my Dewalt saw, but with the stand being useless, I now use the nice bosch miter saw and stand.

broke clamp spring

received as a gift and it worked great on 1st use... that was about it... it broke on one side later and almost impossible to get off stand now.

Latch spring broke instantly

Bought the 12" dual bevel compound saw. Came with the stand. Before I could even use the saw, or even mount these stand pieces to the saw, the first immediately broke out of the box. Crap metal spring broke on first actuation of the handle lever

These brackets need to be redesigned to last

These brackets are junk. With everyone having issues with them why hasn't Dewalt had a recall and designed something that doesn't break after the first use. I'm not buying anymore and resorted to using a nail set to unlock the bracket so I can put the saw on and off the stand. Not an easy task at my age with a 60 lb. saw to balance.

Lock mechanism failed instantly.

Brackets broke right out of the box. Haven’t even mounted the saw yet. Now it’s unsafe to to even use.

Cheap latches!

As the owner of a construction company, time is valuable. I hate losing time on the job because the latches continue to fail. The Dewalt miter saw, and the stand are superior to all others. The latches leave a lot to be desired. They replaced them once under warranty, but the warranty is up. We use, almost exclusively, Dewalt brand tools. You HAVE to do better Dewalt, please.

Not so great

Like other reviewers, the release levers failed and makes it dangerous or impossible to mount or dismount the saw from the stand, and they don't sell replacement parts, you have to buy the entire bracket as a pair if one fails. Love the saw, hate these plastic failure points.

Broken latches

Just like the other reviews are saying, the safety mechanism on the plastic latch broke on mine.

Similar to others, the metal spring in the bracket immediately snapped

Not easy operation.

Great concept however with a DWS780 12" saw attached the weight and balance made for a difficult attach and removal process from a Dewalt saw stand. Eventually the grip release mechanism from one of the brackets failed/jammed and required demolishing the plastic parts with a screw driver in order to get the saw off of the stand.

quick change over

had these on my miter saw, recently bought a sliding miter saw so I bought a second set. these are great for attaching your saw to the stand, not sure how so many on here are having issues with them breaking, they must be slamming them down, or tossing their saw into their truck when done

GARBAGE!

Like every other review here, my brackets broke upon the second use. I will NEVER BUY DEWALT again!

Nice features but - clamps are a major weak point!

I have a shop full of DeWalt products and this one is a bit of a disappointment. I mounted my saw probably a half dozen times in the last 18 months and yesterday it got 'stuck' and I couldn't fully mount or unmount it. I unbolted the saw and looked at the mechanism and realized it was stuck or broken. I used a small rod to release the spring latch and dismounted the bracket. Poor Design, Wish I would have read reviews first!

As noted with most of the other reviews, I setup the new mounting brackets on a chop saw used it and then moved it and when attaching the brackets to the stand (only the second time) the spring broke in the lever the locks the bracket to the stand.
