Ratings & Reviews for DEWALT XR Variable Speed Brushless Fixed Router

Smooth Router

I’ve been really happy with this DEWALT cordless router. What I like most about it is how easy and smooth it is to use. It doesn’t feel jumpy or hard to control, and once you get it set where you want it, it runs through the material really nicely. I’ve used it on different woodworking and carpentry projects and it has made the job a lot easier, especially when I’m rounding over edges or cleaning up a piece. The adjustment is simple, and I like that I can make small changes without fighting wit...

Used this for the first time this weekend. Much more nimble that my larger Bosch rotuer.

Best palm router on the market.

Fantastic product all round. Ergonomic and safe grip and the micro adjustment means routing in depth stages is just a breeze. The black thumb turn guide is perfect too, even has threaded holes to store the securing screws while not in use. Can’t recommend this router enough. Hinges, decorative work, edge work. It does it all. Quick flute switch outs are easy too. I have used other routers and they cannot hold a candle to this model.

Lightweight and easy to maneuver

I'm very happy with this tool. It is small, lightweight and easy to maneuver. My only suggestion would be to make the index ring more readable (for my old eyes) and also make it not so easy to inadvertently move. If the ring had a lock or if it was not so easy to move, then I wouldn't keep moving it when using the router. I then have to make sure I reset it before changing the depth for a second pass.

Another great cordless tool from DeWalt

I needed a router for hand-held use vs. my heavier-duty, table-mounted router. I'm already invested in the DeWalt 20V line this was a natural choice. As usual this tool lives up to my high expectations with DeWalt. Bit changes are simple and the depth adjustment mechanism performed vet smoothly! Precision was needed for my project and this router easily satisfied that requirement with a stable base and solid shaft. Another solid tool in the DeWalt 20V, brushless line that I would certainly rec...

So glad I bought this item. It’s my first experience using a router and the Dewalt brand never lets me down.

Fool proof

Had it for over 2 years now. Best portable router. Put the red one to shame. The quick change bits and fast adjustments put this tool ahead by a landslide.

One of many

This is the best trim router I have used, that's why I have several of them, and just added another one.

Great router, I would recommend.

This has become my go to router. It is powerful enough to do all my trim work and is useful in tight spaces. I should have bought one sooner.

Solid router

Excellent router. I’ve used it mainly to make some notches on my deck for my Sunsetter and it worked perfectly.

Router

I have wanted this router for a long time. Lowes ran it on sale and I bought it. One of the most used tools in my shop. I love it

Cordless brushless fixed base router

I purchased this router to finish the edges of my new deck we build. It worked perfectly, super easy to use, adjust and change out bits. It never bogged down either. highly recommend this router for smaller jobs around the house.

Powerful and easy to use.

I bought the plunge router and fixed base router combo. I like it so much I bought another fixed base for my router table. They have plenty of power for my woodworking projects. A must have in my opinion.

Perfect size and power

I bought this to replace a corded trim router. Love it.

A small beast

Almost 4 years of service and work like a charm. Small in size but very effective.

Super Handy

I bought it some time ago, it’s super handy to work with small bits. It’s lightweight yet powerful, like a Dewalt.
