Would RecommendAbsolutely love this drill i have the bigger 3 speed drill but I find myself reaching for this one more these days its lighter for working overhead and smaller to get into some tighter spaces its also equipped with their new auto rotation safety system that stops the drill when it detects a bind saving your wrist and damage to the drill very well done yet again dewalt!

Would RecommendHad and used numerous drills from many brands over the years (DeWalt, Craftsman, Hilti, Milwaukee, Ridgid, Bosch, Black & Decker :D, etc. Picked this one as an upgrade for my personal use. Its strength with a 5amp hr battery is quite noticeable chewing threw concrete block, hardwoods and amberized pine (rock hard pine sap dried through for 100+ years which is the devil to drill through). Craftsman, older Brushed DeWalt, small Milwaukee, and "hefty" Ridgid used in these materials have struggled, ...

Great tool and reliable: can't stand w/out battery
Would RecommendGreat drill! Feels "zippy". It worked super well to match my Dewalt impact driver and made building a deck super simple. I purchased this drill with a battery deal and it was an absolute steal. I'm a big fan of the light position: it doesn't cause weird shadows like drills with the light next to the trigger. The chuck was very smooth and the tool is generally very compact. The only downside is that if you attach the belt clip, the tool cannot stand up by itself without a battery attached.
