I’ve been using this dish soap and really like it A small amount produces plenty of lather and effectively removes grease and tough stains without requiring much scrubbing It also goes a long way because it can be diluted without losing its effectiveness The original without pleasant and not overpowering Although it costs a bit more than other brands it is worth it for the performance and quality it offers

What was wrong with the dawn classic smell???

Ever since early 2024 Dawn dish soap has been all wrong. Suddenly out of nowhere your company just decided to change the formula and no one even asked for this at all. Brought home the updated dish soap and it was an absolute disaster. Horrible smell and burning irritated hands and my sinuses were inflamed. I quickly threw it away and switched to another dish soap. About 1 year later I bought it again just to see if you changed anything and you did and it seemed to have another kind of smell but...

It’s durable

The formula is very good. The right amount lasts a long time. I love the smell. The consistency is quite thick. The feeling is sweet. I recommend it 100%

Bad formula change

Formula changed and no longer works as effectively. I am now searching for an alternative product Why change what worked?

Works as well as the packaging claims

This is the only dish soap I’ve found that actually cuts through stuck on food. I’m also not a fan of heavily scented soaps but this one is the perfect level that doesn’t stick to the dishes. Absolutely obsessed!

The OG!

It really is the best for greasy pots and pans, and it has so many other uses for household cleaning and stain removal in clothing. I love this large size which allows me to refill my smaller container multiple times. I’ll be reaching for this again and again.

Cuts through oils and greases like no other

I couldn't figure out why our dish soap wasn't cutting the simplest of oils (olive and avocado) from bowls and utensils. Then I realized our dish soap was green and not blue. We had inadvertently bought Palmolive and not our usual Dawn a few months back. We've now restocked with Dawn Ultra.

All of the new Dawn line dries your hands out and the scent is too strong. I work at a horse farm and I used the original Dawn all day long. The old school version was best! Remember some things are better off left alone. If it’s not broke don’t try to fix it. Please make it available. I’m 62 years old and my mother always used it too. Original Dawn was a product you just grew up with and trusted using on everything.

Gold Standard

This is top tier and the blueprint. I used to think all dish washing liquid was the same until I tried this. It really cuts through the grease. It's thick and it doesn't take nearly as much Dawn as the others.

Horrible Smell

I am actually allergic to Dawn, but I had a small sample bottle. I ran out of Ajax before I realized I needed more, so I was forced to use this bottle of Dawn. My hands are dried out and itchy since I'm allergic, but I'm dealing. I thought something was rotting in my sink, but then I realized it was the scent of the soap. It is horribly overpowering. I can't buy Dawn anyway, but thought I'd review what little I used just to warn others of the smell.

Dishwashing liquid that’s NOT Dishwashing liquid

The one and ONLY soap that is a must have for any household . You think this is just for dishes but it’s a one stop shop for other parts of your home as well. This gets rid of the grease and grime and fight tough stains doing overtime … from bathrooms to baseboards to stairs , to CLOTHING .. it does it all. I don’t trust any other “dish” washing liquid . They really should change this because it truly isn’t just for dishes ….

Thick and good

This detergent is excellent for washing my dishes; it's never missing from my kitchen. It makes quite a bit of foam and removes dirt easily. It is thick and easily dilutes.

Sickening, overpowering perfume odor.

I hadn’t used Dawn in several years and recently got a bottle of Dawn Ultra. I was surprised that the fragrance had changed to a sickening perfume odor. I can’t stand it and will either give my bottle away or dump it down the drain. And, I will never buy Dawn again.

very good soap best out there for dishes .i would recomend to anyone . very clean dishes wjen u r done doing the dishes . just make sure urinse throughly.

Disgusting and persistent soap smell.

Disgusting smell that pervaded my iron cast pan and I spent hours using salt and boiling it to remove the chemical smell. I had to throw my food out that I cooked in what was supposed to be a clean pan. Then I realized you have many products that use horrible fragrances and ingredients. Seriously, in this day and age when we know these persistent chemicals are bad for human health, you continue to use them.

Poor scent

I like the soap which cleans well and cuts grease but the smell is terrible. It smells of farts.

Gets the job done

The appearances simple there's not too much advertisement on the product which I really love it's durable so it holds up between the grocery store and home and easy packing to open. It dispenses well and the degreasing power is amazing it's actually the only brand of soap I'll ever use
