Great when it actually works

I bought 2 cans to cover up some patches on 1 wall. the first can quit working after using about 3/4 of it. I thought maybe it was empty even though I could still hear the material inside when I shook it. I started using the 2nd can and got 2 whole sprays out of it before it also stopped working.

Tried to use this on a ceiling. Would not spray in a horizontal position. Texture did not knock down like other products

Garbage

Trigger didn't work. Cannot control flow. This junk turned a 10 minute job into a 2 hour circus. 1.5 hours spent just cleaning up the mess this product made. Do not buy it, you'll be wasting your money. And Lowes won't even let you

Worst $21 I’ve ever spent. Pull the trigger and it didn’t spray. I was able to get it to spray by pushing the top but my finger was too big and it hurt. Poor spray and it dribbled on my new bathroom vanity. Don’t buy this, buy the competitor

Did NOT work.

Followed the directions exactly when getting ready to use it to texture a bathroom wall. Trying it on a scrap piece of drywall, it started correctly but then appeared to get clogged. I shook it again and then it would only come out in a stream. Returning the product for a refund.

Had to return due to nozzle failure

Almost $30 and had to return because the nozzle wasn’t outputting product properly. Waste of time and money. The $10 cans from HD work better

DAP Orange Peel Can is the worst

Landlord so I do a lot of sheet rock repair. I’ve bought these 3 times only one worked. The other 2 failed. The straw they give you to control texture size blows off but usually the whole can clogs and stops working after a few seconds anyway. Buy a different brand unless you want ultimate frustration.

Doesn’t Work

I only had 8 sq ft to repair. The first can made it 6 sq ft. Returned and got another. This one made it the two sq ft before it quit working. Shake shake shake. Pull real hard. Nothing. I was going to touch up a few places and couldn’t even do that. You still have to do the knockdown, so if you can’t do that, this doesn’t help. I think a brush and hardware cloth would work better, for much less than $22.

I had to replace a patch in my ceiling, and I have popcorn ceilings. I was told that this product would not work. And it works fantastic, would recommend it to anybody, especially those like me that are new to remodeling ' Easy to use

Absolutely a waste of money

Overpriced and fails almost immediately. Lowes should stop carrying this product.

Difficult to apply evenly

Followed the instructions and found it quite difficult to do. The propellant force significantly decreased as the can got more and more empty, making it difficult to get an even application. Practiced on scrap, but still ended up scraping by off and reapplying 4 times. Not my fav

Try the oil based. It gives a firmer texture.

Gets clogged easily and doesn’t hold up when knocking it down. I think the water based one is not beneficial for getting a good orange peel look.
