Reviewers consistently highlight the intuitive, effortless operation and ergonomic design that reduces hand fatigue during extended use. Many commend the solid construction, durability, and strong value for the price. Would Not Recommendstringing the line, the bump assembly and the time spent trying to add a line is awful. DO NOT BUY. Then try buying parts for it, good luck. When the model has two different serial numbers on the cover and the AI guy keeps asking you for the model number. Well they superseded it with another parts....Stay away

Waste of time and money!
Would Not RecommendI've bought 3 craftsman trimmers in the last 15 years or so and the first 2 were good and lasted about 7 or 8 years. I had to buy a new one in 2025 and this thing has been difficult to start from day one, and it's even more difficult after some use and it sits for a bit. This year it won't stay running more than an idle and the choke has to be almost completely engaged with just a little crack for air. There isn't even an air filter anymore, it just has a small piece of cheap foam surrounding th...

Meets expectations, good value for money
Would RecommendI bought these to cut through and trim aluminum gutters, they did that. Today, I used these to cut up a set of metal shelves in my garage that had rusted bolt/nut connections. Cut up metal shelves like I was cutting through white bread with scissors
Craftsman tools for when you need a job done right
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m on my second weed trimmer in 6 years. I kept the first one for spare parts but so far I haven’t needed any. I am still using the battery powered hand tools I bought when I got the first weed trimmer. No complaints at all.

Gas weed eater
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A decent trimmer for house hold use. If you need a trimmer for around the house and edges. This one will do just fine. It cuts the grass clean and easy. But if you have grass that thick and hasn’t been cut in a couple months. Then this trimmer will have a little difficulty cutting through it. Also the self feeding spoll is nice but takes a minute to reload.

Major Failure.
Would Not RecommendMy previous Craftsman gas trimmer had an electric start, that I could use my electric drill to start. It was so simple. Why did you get rid of of this? I bought a new WS2200, but can't get the thing too start. My old weedwacker was over 5 years old when it broke. You had a great product with the electric start. Now it is awful.

Don’t buy it!!
Would Not RecommendGarbage product. 2 month old weed eater, used 2-3 times a week (not industrial use) and this thing is trash. Tried all the usual fixes/troubleshooting/maintenance and it continues to bog whenever you give it gas and it just dies and dies. Wish I could give it 0 stars.

Hard start after 2-3yrs of ownership
Had this weed eater for 5yrs, last year gave me hard start issues, new plug, used pre mixed non ethanol since day , new filter, well this season doesn’t want to start, replaced carb and fuel lines still no start. Went and bought a stihl paid the extra for quality. Will not recommend to anyone save the money and buy a name brand

Trimmer Head Assembly
While the craftsman weedeater is a great Trimmer, it would be a better product if they would do away with this new 2-in-1 winding bump head and go back to the other bump heads they use to have. These new heads take longer to reload and wear out too easily.
