Battery Does Not Last

Battery does not last long and doesn’t have much power. Returned and bought the 4.0 Craftsman with two speeds. The only advantage would be it light weight and not hard to hold in one hand.

For the price it’s a good cordless

Received the item on time charged it it doesn’t work. I will be returning.

Don't Buy!!!

Purchased this 4 days ago. The battery won't charge at all. The box says 3 year warranty. Craftsman will not do anything about this as they say even though this was just purchased, the battery is 5 years old and out of warranty. Lowe's chat function is worthless. They say to go to a Lowe's store and see what they can do. HORRIBLE Customer Experience!

Gift

I bought this as a gift for my son. It works well for the yard he maintains. That he hasn't complained about it tells me it is a good product.

I bought this a couple of years ago. Battery does not holdup. It will only last 15 or 20 min. I pretty much have to weed eat daily to just keep up. Thought about buying a new battery but you might as well buy a new weedeater.

Cheap Design

Poor Design. When it spins and tries to cut grass. The holes in which to cool the motor down. Grass gets caught up in it. Wraps around the spindle inside. Melted the spindle right off. The hard plastic over heats.

Very good lightweight choice.

I am used to gas powered models so this was a big switch, and you can't really compare the two. For my first battery electric model that I have ever used, it has performed wonderfully so far. The feed works very well, and it cuts very good for a small .065 single line. It's nice and light weight for easy handling. Box Dented

I did not open the box so I can't comment on the product, Craftsman Straight Shaft. I was disappointed that the box looked previously opened and dented in multiple places.

Battery is garbage

This battery used to last me an entire weeding of my front and backyard. Now I can’t even weed my front yard without the battery draining in 15 minutes. The weeder is great but this battery is hot garbage

Charger for battery stopped working 4 months

Purchased June 2025 is by one and get one free never was able to use the head trimmers the battery to replace is went to the Lowes local - he said I am sorry nothing we can do... so the battery that charges the weed eater and hedge trimmers stopped working four months after we purchased it. This is not a good day. Also, I would not look at the discount of purchasing this item because the battery cost more than the weedeater to replace and you can't use the weedeater without the battery.
