Second time is even better than the first!

This is the second house for which we bought this microwave. We had a great experience the first time and expect it to continue in this home. (That's why we bought the same three Cafe products - microwave, induction double range, and French-door refrigerator.) Quality products that work well for a family with multiple cooks!

This microwave is perfect! Easy to operate and does an excellent job!

The Best Over-the-range Microwave… Ever?

This appliance replaced a GE appliance (>12 years old with a lot of ‘miles’) and is improved in every feature over the first: ease of use, appearance and style, functionality, resistance to fingerprints, efficiency and capacity, and more. I was disappointed when my original failed - but I couldn’t be more pleased with the replacement!

Have this & glass stovetop. micro stopped heating

Had this Cafe microwave 4,5 years. Stopped heating. Easy fix? Or costly. All appliances Cafe. Double oven, glass electric stovetop

Great Product

GE cafe electric range

Just bought the GE cafe 30” slide in oven. I am so disappointed in this purchase. A big negative for me is the timer does not show up anywhere. When you set the timer, it will go off when done, but you can’t see the countdown. The smudge proof is not smudge proof. When the oven is set to a temperature the actual temperature is 25 degrees lower. I do not recommend GE cafe appliances.

Disappointed

We always loved and recommended GE Cafe Appliances. We had the microwave for just over a year (just out of warranty) and the handle broke on the bottom. I just saw someone else had the same problem. I would stay away from this oven

Great Features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I really love about this microwave is that it does not splatter when you reheat food. The inside has a well in each corner to hold excessive liquid in the event you have an overflow.

Cheaply made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel that the cafe microwave is not built as good as the cafe microwave it replaced. The door does not feel as heavy (solid) as the previous one I owned and the interior design doesn’t looks cheaply made. The prior one I owned when you opened the door it was all stainless steel. There were no “bowls” in the bottom design just one platform of stainless steel. A nicer finish. Wish my old one didn’t stop working. The new one is cheaply made.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the space given for cooking, the installation was amazingly fast the only draw back is I wish the controls were easier. I would rather have numbers you push for timer rather than the round puch button. Appliance looks great!

This Cafe microwave is not only pretty, it has lots of room, power and the controls are easy to use. I’m extremely happy with my purchase of this microwave to match my all Cafe kitchen.

Not a good value / does not feel refined

Installation was ok. @GECAFE- can GE just settle on a standard bracket and power cord location ? All the microwaves are basically the same dimensions eventually it’s going to force me to new cabinets as the holes are different but very close. Also- the rear template wasn’t remotely aligned to the bracket holes- off by a quarter inch or more. Also eliminate the end user having to trim the template. Re controls- still adjusting to the dial. I do prefer numbers. Also the sensitivity of the button...

Great Replacement and Experience

Hello! So far, this has been a great one-to-one replacement for my previous GE Cafe microwave. We really like the new/changed features except for one: Removal of the numerical keypad. Manually using the dial for time/power settings is somewhat awkward. Great experience so far and we have really enjoyed the suite of GE Cafe products that we own.

Terrific microwave!

I love this microwave. It has a mute option, so you don't here beeping constantly. Heats food quickly and is a large microwave. I would highly recommend this product!

Easy on the eyes and easy to use.

This Cafe over the range microwave is so pretty! Besides being pretty it does the job exceptionally well. It has great features including a 30 seconds add. It is very easy to use.

Looks great and meets our needs

A replacement for an earlier model of essentially microwave. Flawless installation and no surprises with the new model. I did note immediately and every time since that the door feels lighter and almost “tinny” when closing it. As long as it works well I won’t care. We got 7 years from the prior model and will be happy if we get 7 from this one.
