Huge repair bill Cafe Induction

We bought a full set of Cafe appliances. Love the look and performance with the exception of a few fridge noises. NOW NO burner works on the induction cooktop. Turns on and immediately off. Official repair guy says two boards have to be replaced. The tray. And the glass UI panel. For a $3800 dollar appliance $2500 is outrageous. Something is obviously out of kilter in Cafe design and part pricing.

Excellent Range and Oven

Fast preheat, even cooking, the knob controls for the induction cooking reduce finger prints on the range. my only complaint is the warming drawer needs a pan.

In the two years we have got it, we had to repair it multiple times, and so does many people in our community.

well designed, best range we've owned

We chose this induction range after extensive research and looking at all available professional (and many consumer) reviews. Everything on this range works great, with the stovetop knob controls being intuitive and easy to use. When set on high, the burners boil water so quickly that you really can't turn away or you risk your pot boiling over. Once I left a teapot on and left the room, all of the water boiled away. Help!

My range, unlike my microwave and refrigerator, did not come with any paper work. I cannot register it, nor can I download an owner’s manual. Please help! I need to know how to use it to its full capabilities.

Great Induction Range!

I've had this new range for a few weeks and so far I love it. The cooktop is easy to regulate and the oven baking and air fry settings work perfectly! So far, I would absolutely recommend this range!!

It’s good, cheap racks

I purchased this stove thinking it would be a worthwhile investment, but I’ve been disappointed with the quality—especially considering the price. It doesn’t include telescoping sliding racks, and the racks it does come with feel quite cheap. I use this in my micro-bakery at my farm stand, so functionality and ease of use are really important. Not all that we were expecting!

We are not thrilled with the top burners as they do not seem to heat evenly on the outer edges. The oven is not running at the same temp as set at. 50 degrees less. The airfry feature has not worked well. Things are not crisp. We haven't had the range long so we may improve in our usage, but at this point it isn't what we were expecting.

For cooking at high elevation this Cafe Induction range is the ideal product.

BEWARE OF MATTE WHITE COLOR MISMATCH

I would have given it a 5 but BEWARE that GECafe matte white appliance color doesn't match between appliances. I bought the dishwasher three years ago and noticed that it had a grey undertone to the color. Having nothing to compare it too until now when I bought the 30" induction range with warming drawer which is a beautiful bright white. Excellent Choice

An induction ring for every size pot, an oven that roasts, bakes and broils to perfection, and a warming drawer to keep the food ready. And it's very elegant.

Nice range but Help!!!!

I like this range a lot but it is locked and I can’t get it started (backwards C symbol is showing). I tried holding down lock settings button for 3 secs, 5 secs, 10 secs, 15 secs. Help! I need to cook Easter dinner this Sunday!

Would do it again

I've owned for 6 weeks and cook 5-6 times a week for one person. Mainly fish and chicken. Pork once. Connectivity is a gimmick I don't use. The consistency and precision of the stove and oven are optimal (but different for each hob). The air fry/convection functions are fantastic. I love the knobs and the look of the unit. Viking Quality At A GE Price

Love my new range! The induction feature makes cooking a breeze - everything heats up so quickly. I also like the clean lines of the range, as well as the ease of cleanup. The lit knobs (when a burner is turned to 'on') is an added plus.

I'd rather not have spent this much for an oven range, but we love it and agree it was worth the investment in our health, convenience, and ease of use and cleaning. I'm fine with the cost because I expect it to last about a decade, and we use the stove every day, typically 2-4 times most days, though the oven only few times a month max, like to roast vegetables (okra, brussels spouts, drizzled with oil and seasoning), broil fish or steak, and bake (low carb) cookies. OK, not great

Plug in temp. sensor is useless-tried it twice and it was 40 deg. to 60 deg. off. We checked it against two different instant read thermometers. Heating elements are inconsistant and magnets are smaller than I was told. Using the front left element two days in a row with exactly the same amounts of products, we needed to use far different power settings to cook.
