Subpar appliances, not worth the money.

I think that GE Cafe collection is probably the most overrated brand of appliances we’ve purchased. Not to mention the most expensive. For starters the dishwasher (when working properly) has mediocre performance compared to other brands we’ve purchased. It looks great but it doesn’t do the job. The dishes are not washed throughly and they don’t dry! We’ve had to have this dishwasher serviced three times (soon to be four) and each time same issue. Looks cracked under normal use

Cooktop has a crack. Nothing fell on it. After reading reviews at the poor quality and finding out they don’t make it any more, it’s clear they produced an inferior product and they know it. Don’t waste your money. Service is so disappointing. They should at least look at it to see there was no impact. Now I’m afraid to use it with this tiny crack.

Complete waste of money, terrible product

After just 1 year, after flimsy warranty expired, cooktop stopped accepting pans that were previously fine and still work with other induction hotplates. For the high cost, the warranty should at least be longer. May as well use the hundreds to repair to replace with better product. Buyer beware!!! Shame on you GE, used to buy GE products exclusively. Never again!!!

The connectivity part is cumbersome - have to lift cooktop to get necessary info. Otherwise would be 5 star

Stovetop cracked easily

After using the stove a few months a regular sized bottle of olive oil tipped over and hit the cooking surface and chipping and cracking it. The bottle wasn’t dropped, it just fell over. Very disappointed.

sometimes technology is great..

Always preferred gas stove tops but I'll tell you this cook top is amazing. Infinite number of adjustments to cook with and really like the cooktop doesn't get hot like all other stoves, don't have to worry as much about little fingers.

Great cooktop, but broken glass caused by gap

The level of control and the amount of sheer power available are impressive and useful. Unfortunately, the glass surface is apparently very fragile. Last weekend, a plastic container of cinnamon (less than one point in weight) fell from our spice cabinet and struck the bottom right corner of our cooktop, causing several large cracks (a corner has broken completely off of the unit). Great stovetop!

We love this stovetop. It heats up so quickly and cooks evenly. We don't have little kids anymore, but the quick cooling down is also nice to have.

Works adequately with severe limitations

Really disappointed in this cooktop. We love the rest of our Cafe appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, wall oven, wall microwave/oven combo). The cooktop functions fine but within very strict limits. Aside from stainless steel (or cast iron), cookware has to be larger than the circles indicating the cooking zones. Induction virgin

This is my first experience with an induction stove. The burners turn off if the pan is not the correct size. It takes a while for the pot to boil if the pan isn’t perfectly inside the burner. Once you get the hang of it the ability to adjust the temp quickly is great. It does require a specific kind of pan so we had to get rid of several ones that didn’t work.

Look elsewhere for induction

Out of the box, it doesn’t work. So disappointing. Look elsewhere for an induction cooktop
