Ratings & Reviews for Cafe Couture 6 -Slice Black Wi-Fi Compatible Smart Toaster Oven Automatic Shut-Off

Consider the exterior durability and warranty

I purchased this Café oven in October 2025. Within the **first week of normal use**, discoloration appeared around the oven door after baking at 450°F. As the photos show, heat appears to escape around the door/seal area, so my concern is not simply cosmetic. Getting support while still under the one-year warranty was surprisingly difficult: an online claim, two phone calls, multiple emails, photos and a video. I was initially told the discoloration was cosmetic and covered for only seven days,...

Extremely convenient

We love this appliance. For two people, it’s a great alternative to using the large oven if you don’t have to.

Lot of options to use

This product is new for us and so far things have been very good. We are still getting used to it and it has replaced our main microwave and toaster. So far it has been great.

test run appliance before ordering all kitchen

I absolutely love the look of the Café Couture Toaster Oven with Air Fry! It’s larger than I expected, but still fits nicely on my counter. One of my favorite features is that the exterior doesn’t get hot while it’s in use. I’ve used the bake, air fry, and dehydrate settings, and they’ve all worked really well. I also love the WiFi option—it’s such a convenient feature! Overall, I’m really happy with it and love having it in my kitchen.

unit stopped working

Bought the Matte black Toaster oven to match my kitchen (November 2024) and it stopped working in May 2026 just out of warranty. GE would not replace the unit and would only mail me a rebate after I bought a new unit that would only cover a bit more than half of what I would have to pay. I am not sinking anymore $ into this model or any GE toaster ovens. The last unit I had Black and Decker last over 15 years. I am very disappointed in GE Cafe.

Poor design

It works but the design is frustrating. Sliding your toast out over horizontal grill slats (vice vertical, which would make more sense) is like pulling it over several speed bumps that sheer crumbs off your toast and drop them into the catch tray. Then, after finished toasting, for some reason the motor keeps running after it is finished. Changing functions with the dial is a blind “find the setting” approach. The display screen doesn’t show you the options. You have to turn and turn until you...

Amazing counter oven

Love this oven. I own 2 of them in different homes. I find baking and the functions in my regular oven work the same or better in my cafe. I like that it didn’t heat up my kitchen like my full size oven does. All of the functions work great, air frying, baking, pizzas, reheat, etc. it’s the best counter oven I have owned.

Love this countertopoven

I absolutely love this countertop oven. It does a great job air frying, and holds a lot of food. It has many features which is very convenient. I would definitely recommend.

The perfect countertop oven

Not your average toaster oven. The quality is top-notch, it preheats quickly and receives glowing reviews aesthetically.

Easy to use

It has taken the place of the full size oven in our house for so many things, especially now that both kids are in college. Threw together chicken and broccoli the other night and it was done in 15 minutes for both!

Great features and very versatile.

It's beautiful and functional. I especially love the air fry and baking modes. I've used it for salmon, chicken, pizza, potatoes and bake goods. I've been very pleased with everything. This was definitely a good purchase and a nice addition to my kitchen.

Faulty Door and Bad Design

I purchased two of these units, and both are experiencing the same issue: the door does not fully close on its own after one year of ownership. As a result, it does not engage the safety switch, and the air fryer will not operate unless the door is manually pushed closed. This appears to be a common issue, which is very disappointing for a premium-brand product. Based on this experience, I will definitely avoid Café products in the future.

Attractive and efficient

This oven is very attractive, easy to use and has worked very well during the couple of weeks we’ve used it. It heats quickly and toast evenly. If it continues to work as it has, I’ll be very happy with this purchase.

Best quiet oven that cooks great!

This oven is absolutely amazing!! It is so quiet when it runs & is so efficient when it cooks. It is rather easy to understand how to operate. Also it is a top rated oven with Consumer reports. Thank you GE.

Cooking Masterpiece

Absolutely love this oven, it does everything a big oven can do and more. It’s perfect for a single household or large family and can handle any type of menu item with all the cooking features. I don’t even use my big oven anymore only for storage. I am a single household and it’s perfect.

Works Great

Works better than expected. Very happy with the purchase.

Beautiful and Functional

I'm very pleased with the baking and air frying modes. I haven't tried other modes yet. It's great for baking beautiful, fluffy biscuits. Pizza baked with a nice crisp crust. Air fry potatoes and chicken were very good. I'm still experimenting and learning, but so far I'm very satisfied with my oven both functional and love the look.

We love it.....But the door doesn't last!

This product itself is amazing. We love the look, the style, and the functionality. The biggest issue is this is our THIRD one in 2 years. Over time the door won't close all the way and it shuts off the oven. Our first one was replaced under warranty, then the second one did it and we bit the bullet and bought a new one. If they could figure out how to service the door, replace the door, or fix it, this is an amazing product.

NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE.

Instructions are absent. A few recipes but NO INSTRUCTIONS with suggested settings for different foods. No ability to do a short cook after the timed cook expires. You have to start a new cook session. When a cook program is finished, an Add XX minutes function would be good. The door design sucks. The black paint behind the handle prevents looking in without opening the door. It would be very easy to look in over the handle if the black paint was not there. The wire grates and basket need a ...

Beautiful match

It works beautifully in all settings. The capacity is a small so not capable of handling regular size casserole dishes. Otherwise works beautifully
