Expensive | Drum Not Built Well

We bought this roller to assist us in our new sod install and preparation and other possible projects. The product at cursory glance seemed built well, but we noticed after some initial use that the drum cuts and gouges easily. Ours leaks too around the screw cap, which is rather annoying. The assembly was straightforward.

Excellent Roller

Simple yet robust design. Works great as a manual push roller and works great behind my garden tractor.

A Good Roller With A Bad Handle

As a Tow-Behind, this roller is fantastic. As a manual roller it's very easy to maneuver and does a good job. It's very well built and more than up to the task. The only issue I have with it is the T handle. It's a very basic design. Too basic. It's a bar with a hole in it, held in place with the towing pin. It pivots effortlessly when you're using the roller (a bad thing). It creates a pinch point, and makes using the roller awkward. Switching between the two modes is awkward too, and you h...

Great piece of equipment..

I have used this several times since purchase and like that I can easily adjust the weight to my needs and strength ..and have the option to attach it to a tractor.

Easy and convenient

Since you can fill it with water, you can use it and store it anytime, quickly. Just make sure to glue on the handle pads or they'll come off as you're trying to turn around.

Bought this for a new lawn in putting in my backyard, also for a large area I will be putting a lot of dg. Works great and water drains completely as well when you're done. Very light when empty.

fast delivery, good product. one thing to share with all users, empty and hang the roller, as instructed in the manual. reason for deducting one star is the handle, it has only one bolts to fasten, and no matter how tight I sandwich it down, with over 250 lb weight, it wiggles.

great tool for the yard

Item works just as one would expect. Easy to fill and empty water out of. Connect to the tractor hitch was easy. Water cap should be attached to tool, no matter what model you get. Mine came off while I was traveling the yard. Fortunately I found it and we immediately painted it a bright color.

OK but rollers with steel drums last forever

Works but instructions say not to leave water in it as it may create a flat spot on the drum. If you can find an equivalent roller with a steel drum, buy it. They last forever without any worries about a roller with a plastic drum.

Just what the doctor ordered

The roller is just what my lawn needed. It's easy to use and handles well behind my mower as well as by hand. I like that feature. The hand option allows me to get into areas I couldn't with my mower. When empty, I can hang it for the winter and it's ready to go come spring.
