Outdoor Cooking Area

I purchased my Backyard Discovery Saxony XL grill gazebo to for our outdoor grill station. All of our parts were in great condition and install was pretty straightforward. It’s great having a place to cook and serve hot off the griddle or smoker . Couldn’t be happier with the purchase.

Great Addition to Our Patio

We bought our grill gazebo about a month ago and were able to put it together this weekend. It took us about six hours. Most parts lined up well, some needed “coaxing”. Overall we are very pleased with the results and love the way it looks on our patio. It is our second outdoor structure from Backyard Discovery.

Great Gazebo

Fit and finish were great. Does take quite a bit of time to assemble. I was in construction for years and it was challenging. The only help I had was lifting the roof up. Get yourself a set of good clamps to help temporarily holding things in place. A must.

Great look, rugged hardware and very functional!

I bought and assembled my grill gazebo earlier this month. The kit was very well packed and came with all the necessary hardware including some extras! The directions were fairly easy to follow but you need to pay attention to the details in the pictures. I found it easier to build the roof structure and mount it before installing the roof panels. Well built, easy to put together!!

This review is actually of our XL Saxony Grill pergola…just finally finished installing last week. The pergola was easy to put together. Instructions were very clear, and 3d view was very helpful. Great product at a reasonable price! Make sure to read and follow instructions to the T. That made assembly very easy. Also do yourself a favor and pre stain the entire gazebo before you put together. Looking forward to may years of enjoyment

Beautiful and Built Tough for the PNW

This is my second Gazebo from BYD and couldn't be happier. This one covers my outdoor kitchen and, just like the one I have covering my hottub- its rock solid, real cedar, and easy to assemble. I live in the PNW and having cover- that will not rot and stay beautiful- is essential.

Grill gazebo a must have.

This backyard discovery xl grill gazebo was easy to assemble with 2 people. The instructions were easy to follow. Quality product with ease of assembly

The product was packaged very well; no parts were damaged. The assembly instructions were very straightforward and easy to follow. The post base pads need to be 1 inch thick in lieu of the provided 5/8" thick ones to help meet code and to prevent water damage, I was going to purchase store bought pads, but these parts are a unique size. i did get help to secure the back beam and to install the roof, but the rest was easily accomplished myself. Really well made and it looks great. Handy husband and I put it up in 2 days time. Instructions were easy to follow. Really glad we went with this one instead of the less expensive versions online.

Gazebo XL Grill

I purchased this Gazebo approximately 1 month ago in July 2025. It went together very well and the instructions were east to follow. The only problem I had was the anchor bolts. Once I had completed the project I went to anchor the Gazebo to the ground. I made sure not to over tighten the bolts to the concrete. The next day when I went outside I found that 6 of the bolt heads had snaped off right at ground level or just below the concrete. This made it impossible to remove the bolts to replace. ...
