Giving only 3 stars because the tag on the item says I'll recieve a free storage caddy for writing review. I've written one already and no where did it ask for my special code. I want my free caddy. Feel like I've been dooped into writing a review for them for nothing. Not impressed with them

Hammer Tacker

I bought this tool a few weeks ago, as my older staple gun was jamming and i had to continuously stop and dig out the staple. Got so fed up, I went out and purchased this wonderful tool. No more grasping a tack gun. just give it a tap and its done. So far so good, I love it, especially working in the cold.

HTX Wacker Tacker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool is the best one I have ever owned, I have use the original back in 1978, in Denver, Colorado when the front range was booming. Tacking on Underlayment for My Roofing Projects using #15 & #30 Asphalt Paper, USING 1/2 INCH ARROW STAPLES, it is vey durable, smartly built, lightweight, comfortable in my hands and gets the job done. VERY SATISFIED WITH THE PERFORMANCE

Very handy tool, especially for a woman, or anyone with small hands.

Great stapler

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well balanced stapler tha i use to install roofing underlayment. Should have bought one years ago! Hopefully my crew doesnt lose it but if so i will buy another!

Used for insulation and roofing

Quick Work with No Hand Pain

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so thankful to find a top quality stapler that doesn't require super-human hand strength to repeatedly squeeze a handle to eject staples. No more hand cramps or trying to squeeze the handle with two hands.

Worked as expected.

Worked as expected. Pretty heavy but any lighter and it wouldn’t be heavy enough to drive the staples I imagine.

Easy to use

This staple hammer gun tacker is the easiest to use!

Not a good tool.

The engineering on this model is questionable. Used to tack synthetic underlay on roof. Effectively stapled about 10% of the time. Frequently delivers 2 to 3 staples with one blow, lying wasted. Rarely penetrates the sheathing, requiring backup hammer to complete the drive. Jams regularly due to excessive feed. Yes, I do hit hard enough, not too hard. Experimented with angles and strength to no avail. Resorted to older hand spring Arrow model to get the job done.

Not good for insulation

I found the strike plate to be problematic. I tore the Kraft backing on the insulation most of the time because the strike plate actually sticks out rather than wrapping around the end of the tacker, like the other models. I had to finish the job using my Arrow staple gun instead, which was a little bit slower but got the job done.

great design no more knuckle busting and does not jam like the other models i have used.
