What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the ease of installation and rapid heating performance, with most completing setup themselves in under an hour using clear instructions. Hot water arrives within minutes, often within 30 minutes of installation, with many noting consistent capacity without running out. Reviewers frequently cite the brand's reputation for durability, with previous units lasting 9 to 20 years, driving strong confidence in long-term reliability. A small number report cosmetic dents upon arrival or rare early heating element failures, but these isolated issues do not diminish the overwhelming majority's satisfaction and recommendation.

Would Not RecommendPurchased Sep 2020,,, 6 year. Oct 2026 the tank sprung a leak and flooded my basement. If you buy a 6 year, REPLACE IT at the 6 year mark! These must have a self destruct.

Short to ground
Would Not RecommendI’ve had this water heater since February 2025 and it went belly up. No isolation between poles and both poles shorted. I can’t get in touch with the company, so I have a personally hired plumber looking at it. Do better, AOSmith!

Wish I could give it less than 1 star
Would Not RecommendSince the day I bought this stupid thing, the pilot has never stayed lit longer than 90 days. More commonly, it's maybe about a month between. Cold water, go outside and discover the pilot out. I've had it serviced regularly and looked at twice for this issue. Today, the pilot went out TWICE. Pure junk. Don't waste your money.
