Moen Flo - Installed and Working Perfectly

I installed the Moen Flo monitoring device several months ago and it was the best thing I've ever done to protect my home from water damage. It works perfectly.

Works great! But too sensitive.

While the product completely works and shuts your water off easily when it detects above average usage. It also shuts itself off because one day I water my plants with a hose. Or we have a few visitors and there are three extra showers. terrible product

This is a terrible product. I had one installed by a professional plumber 11 days ago. It keeps shutting off the water daily to my tenants despite many attempts to resolve the issue. It is not a user friendly product. I just called the plumber to tell them to remove it.

I have the whole house 'flo by moen' and 25 smart leak detectors. 1. The whole house FLO does what it is designed for, BUT requires some attention. Ex, i have an auto-fill on my pool- this runs for hours at a time. This is viewed as a 'leak' by the FLO and has shut off the water to my house a few times, which is a pain. The leak detector seems to work when it stays online.

Been off Line for over 5 days

I have nine of these and they have been offline with Moens servers for over 5 days. Because they can not connect with Moen servers they are worthless

Turns your water off at its whim

I hate the entire system - it has turned off my water more than 6 times. And the app is hard to sign up for.

Great concept, when first bought this 3 pack, setup was easy. Even tested with a plate of water! Placed in basement near my sump pump and main water shutoff. Forward a year later and I got multiple email alerts of water by my main, step onto soaked carpet in finished basement, old sump pump died, and water detector never went off at sump pump. Good but not great

The unit is good at detecting water. However it isn't very smart with what happens with the information. THere is a flo valve in the system. If water is detected by the sensor the valve gets shut off. This is overly simplistic. We have sensors near toilets. On humid days the toilets sweat and cause the valve to shut because water drips on the sensor. A much better algorithm would be to check the flow meter.
