No. The locking mechanism will not lock into a 90 degree pattern only a-frame and extension.

Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes it can. You can open it all the way up and then extend it as well to make it 21 feet I believe but even as A frame its still tall enough to get on a single story roof.
Was this Answer Helpful ?The MT-22 has four acceptable positions. These are the twin step ladder, stairway step ladder, extension ladder, and the scaffold base. When used as a step ladder, the MT ladder sides will be set up in the proper climbing angle on both sides, so that one side is not vertical.
