Was this Answer Helpful ?It just barely fits in a Toyota Camry backseat. But I did have to take the top part of the packaging off so it would fit. Before I purchased the ladder I measured the backseat of my Camry since it doesn't fold down on SE models. From online specifications I knew it was the largest Werner Multi Ladder that I could buy and transport in my car if necessary. So far it has been a great ladder and extremely versatile for somebody that needs a full sized ladder that still fits in a car.
Was this Answer Helpful ?I was really surprised but this 17 foot ladder compacts down to about 5 feet when fully collapsed and I called before myself to make sure that it would fit in my car and sure enough no problems!
Was this Answer Helpful ?The length of the 17 foot ladder folded to its most compact state measures 4'-8" length. Since midsize cars may vary in back seat widths or trunk space, you would have to measure you car to determine if the 4'-8" ladder length fits.

Was this Answer Helpful ?When I purchased it - I brought it home in my friend's Mitsubishi Eclipse (they put the rear seats down) without any problem. It had some wrapping and a cardboard cover over it when it was new and it fit, now that's it's open it should fit easier without the covering.

Was this Answer Helpful ? We picked this ladder up in a Toyota Corolla, with the back seat between the truck folded down, and it fit just fine. I wouldn't try to pick this up in a car if your backseat doesn't fold down.
