What is maximum safe extendable length on a 28 ft ladder, and weight?


The maximum extended length of the D6228-2 is 25 feet.

The ladder itself extends to 28', but the usable range (i.e.; the highest rung you should stand on) is somewhere around 24'.

Bought it today. The maximum reach is 27 feet and weighs 59.5 pounds(delighted). I was able to haul the ladder on my full size SUV, needs two person to put the ladder on top of the SUV. Do bring your own rope (minimum 90 pounds test line) and tie the ladder yourself. Employees are not permitted to tie the ladder to your vehicle. I plan to get a stabilizer tomorrow.
