There is a warning label on the D6224 ladder that warns : " CAUTION : This ladder section is not designed for separate use".


You can use the lower half alone. The reason you can not use the upper half is because it is too narrow and you can loose your balance, furthermore, it does not have anti slip pads on the bottom. So I would not reccommend that you use it as a seperate ladder.

Only the base section can be used as a separate ladder.

no one I know does that, no need, sounds like a bad idea, just use the whole ladder.

The D6200-2 series of extension ladders is not designed to be used as two separate straight ladders. Only the bottom or base section should be used as a single ladder, and not the upper or fly section.
