what is difference between type I, II, or III ?


Ladders are tested for safely holding up to a specific amount of weight. The Duty Rating Type follow standards set up by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Type III ladders have a maximum safe load capacity of 200 lbs, Type II has 225 lbs, Type I has 250 lbs, Type IA has 300 lbs, and Type IAA has a maximum safe load capacity of 375 lbs.

The difference between types of ladders is the length. For example, a single section ladder is 30ft, a two section is 48ft and greater than two section is 60ft.
