Can I use this over joint compound that was used to patch a plaster ceiling that was peeling? I've been told to not use PVA primers in this case.


Thank you for taking the time to ask a question. Plaster, especially older lime-based or gypsum-based types, has a dense, smooth surface that doesn’t bond well with PVA primers.
