I do not have a neutral wire, will it work? How to wire it ?


Hi, If you do not have a neutral wire no it will not work as was intended by the manufacturer. There are timers on the market that do not require a neutral wire, this will make your installation much easier.

If you have 2 blacks wires and a ground, look in the box for a bundle of neutral wires that are capped off together. If its a single gang box these will generally be available for you to use. Undo this bundle, connect 2 of these neutrals to the timer and cap the rest of them back off.
