My home was built in 1993 and has a 3-prong cord. Is there an adaptor for this product?

If your home has an existing 3-wire circuit and 3-wire receptacle, purchase a 3-wire dryer cord and not this 4-wire cord. Both 3 and 4-wire dryer cords are stocked in all Lowes stores.

You should take a piece of paper and using a pencil rub the current in wall receptacle to get the right configuration and then purchase a cord that works with your current receptacle.
