I lengthend the cable from the solar cell with slightly heavier gauge wire. The fixture doesn't work, connections are good, why doesn't it work?


Well guess what. I took down the unit yesterday and redid the connections by soldering and when I got home tonight, the unit worked perfectly!

Changing the length of the cable from the solar cell lengthens the distance electricity generated by the solar cell has to travel. We test and guarantee the performance our products when used/installed with the provided wire and parts. Please bring this fixture back to your local stores for credit if it doesn't help solve your solar lighting project.
