What is the minimum pick-up depth for this pump.

This sump pump, like most sumps, needs about 10-11" of water in the pit to lift the float in order for the pump to activate. All sumps sit about 3-4" in the water and have a float that ranges 6-8"...meaning that the pump will turn on at 10-11" of water and will shut off when it hits the 3-4" mark. If you are looking for a pump that will suck water down to about 1/8" then you would need a utility pump. But a utility should not be used as a sump pump.
