What is the gap? And is it possible to make it smaller (wanting a 1/8/1/16" gap if possible.

Hello, and thank you for choosing Trex. The Trex Hideaway Universal Hidden Fastener self gaps the boards for you to our 1/4" width to width gapping requirements. For warranty purposes we do not recommend making the gap any smaller. In addition the end to end gapping requirement is 1/8". Thanks, Tori - Trex Customer Care Team
