No. This is the correct pipe for a wood burning stove that requires Class A, insulated Chimney. Most direct vent fireplaces require a very specific pipe (they might give you both the brand and the specific model # in the fireplace literature). Many need concentric (pipe within a pipe) vent so outside air can be drawn in for combustion while flue gases leave through another section.
