Can these panels be used in basements?

Provided your drywall is clean, dry and meets local code, these panels may be adhered to the drywall using an adhesive recommended by the panel manufacturer. The use of fasteners, such as finish nails, is also an ideal method of securing these panels, facilitating an easy and clean removal in the future, should another unfortunate disaster occur in your basement. Fasteners can be discreetly placed inside the mitre cuts on the panels, but, take note, their placement should be measured first, in order to make sure they are secured in the studs/furring strips behind the drywall. It is not recommended to merely nail into the drywall itself.
