Was this Answer Helpful ? Depending on the amperage requirement of the pump motor, this UF cable could be used and direct buried to the well, but cannot be run down the well to the pump. This cable is rated at 600 volts. There is no such thing as 220 wire.
Was this Answer Helpful ?No 12-2 Interior wont help you First thing if its going outside you need a Exterior wire Next Wire must have atleast 3 wires if its 220 1 wire commonly a black wire it takes current (Hot) 1 red commonly takes current (Hot) 1 white commonly it is a ground wire (Neutral) You can use a exterior 12-2 but your 2nd hot wire will be white by most codes you have to mark that white wire with red tape about 2 inches down the unstripped insulated wire. that has to be on both side going to the pump and to the power pole (Service panel) And you will have a bare wire (copper) you can use that as the ground but check with your local building codes they vary from state to state and also very by city
