We would install this as a backsplash behind a stove. Do grease spatters clean easily?

I agree with the previous post. I put this up in my kitchen, but did not use behind the range. This stone is very pourous. Even it you seal it is difficult to clean due to the many crevices. I used a glass backsplash material that was complimentary with this stone. Lowes has many choices. You can apply with thinset,. if not self adhesive, but if you do get a 1/4 inch notched trowel.

its a natural stone so you would want to seal it for an area like that. With that said I would not recommend it as grease over time will get into every crack and crevice regardless of sealing creating a very unsanitary condition. Just my opinion
