Can I put a sealant or silicone on the seams ie the tongue part of the board to seal it before I put the boards together? Will that seal it or swell?


Hello! No, the QuickStep Studio+ Restoration Oak laminate flooring should be installed as a floating floor. Floor movement must not be constrained by glue, nails, screws, hardware or other fixed obstructions. Per the installation instructions, you should apply flexible 100% silicone sealant to the entire perimeter of the installation to create a watertight seal.
