Typically 30ft, but check the instructions for that manufacturers specs.
Was this Answer Helpful ?The longest span I have installed on slightly less than yours and I used no transitions. Keep in mind however, that I felt comfortable with this only because the home interior is EXTREMELY well insulated and changes less than 8 degrees each day. If your home can expect more temperature shifts, then the planks will shrink/ expand and the longer then span, the bigger the expansion. You could help compensate for this by leaving larger gaps at the walls but prepared to possibly see gaps extending beyond the floor moldings if the planks shrink too much. Also, humidity plays a huge factor. I live in a desert so no worries for me.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes, the boards lock on the short ends. As long as the floor is level, you can span it with no issues (and no t-molding).
