Cleaning!

I work at a Lowe's store myself in the flooring department and recommend the Bona line of cleaners to my customers. If you are going to use a Steamer mop, remember it is not recommended by the manufacturer so you are taking a chance of ruining your floor because of the heat and moisture. For sanitizing your floor, look on Pinterest for homemade cleaners. Their a lot less price and you know exactly whats in them.

Unfortunately, you have chosen a dark floor with a mild gloss. You are going to see everything on your floor, that's just the nature of dark, relatively shiny floors. A steam cleaner would not solve your problems, it's the fact that you've chosen a dark, shiny floor that is causing your problems. You could try finding a low gloss cleaner, I think Bona might make one, and give that a shot, but I doubt it would make a difference. As for sanitizing; most people do not sanitize their floors. Sweeping and mopping is sufficient to keep them clean. If you are worried about it, you could use a vinegar solution, or even a mild bleach solution for days when you need it to be super clean.
