I need some kind of adaptor plate, I am replacing recessed lights & these pendants are too small (the base at top). Do they make an adapter for this?

You can use a ceiling medallion such as Livex Lighting 8209-07 Ceiling Medallion

Any canopy plate can be used. You will have to get it first, as it has to be assembled prior to wiring.
