Why is this any better then black 6ml plastic which is much thicker?


A 6 mil moisture barrier is just that a plastic membrane that provides moisture vapor protection. Project Source 1mm LVP Underlayment provides moisture vapor protection, adds comfort underfoot including as a "thermal break" so you floor is not directly on the concrete and improves sound in rooms below.
